The real impact of natural beauty
There has been a huge movement towards natural skincare in the past few years.
Almost 50% of woman now claim to be using all-natural skincare.
Natural beauty refers to skincare and make up which is made from all-natural ingredients which are not harmful to your skin or the environment.
Which means the entire process of making the skincare product from growing and harvesting the ingredients to the final end product is completely free from pesticides, or any preservatives.
Not unlike the food industry, conventional beauty brands have been selling products with long ingredient lists making it extremely confusing for the consumer to even understand what they are buying. These ingredients such as parabens, sodium and sulfate are extremely toxic for the body.
Some beauty brands even go as far as saying their products are safe enough to eat.
At The Urban Farmer our favorite beauty brand is Dr.Hauschka, a brand that is not only organic and natural but goes as far as prioritising the purity and preservation of water for over 50 years.

What does water neutral mean?
Our water contains a wide variety of pollutants – from household chemicals, to pharmaceuticals and pesticides. The skin care and cosmetics industry plays a large part in this, with every product we use in our daily routine ending up being washed down the drain.
Being water neutral means we are dedicated to making sure our products are created using minimal water, and we never use any ingredients that we wouldn’t feel comfortable ending up in a fresh glass of water.
None of our products include harmful mineral oils, parabens, silicones or chemical preservatives that could eventually end up in our oceans or water supply. All our formulations consist solely of 100% natural, water-neutral or biodegradable ingredients that can be gently washed away with no lasting impact.
