3 super simple Braai day marinades and dressings
Sticky almond butter chicken marinade:
Ingredients:
½ cup yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 pinch ground ginger
2 teaspoon salt
Method:
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
Place 500g of chicken breasts or thighs into the bowl.
Cover and place in the fridge. For the best results marinade over night.
Smokey beef fillet marinade:
Ingredients:
½ cup olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
1 pinch smoked paprika
2 tablespoons chopped rosemary
Salt and black pepper to taste
Method:
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk together.
Add beef fillet to marinade an hour before you braai.
Baste with left over marinade when on the fire/grill.
Creamy herb and lemon dressing:
Ingredients:
½ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons yogurt
Juice of 1 lemon
½ cup parsley
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Method:
Blend all ingredients in a food processor. Best served on a fresh green salad.
